You will know the basic terms and concepts of shading, and you'll be able to make eye-catching, believable, well-shaded realistic drawings or sketches about simple subjects. And if you know that complex objects are built from simple forms, actually you will know a lot. You will understand how light and shadow work on simple forms. What can you expect by completing this course? For demonstration purposes I will also use some other drawing tools which you can purchase along the way if you like them. I'll be using mostly a regular 2B graphite pencil on cheap office papers. You can start this beginner drawing course without any special drawing tool. I designed the lessons in a way that you can also benefit from it with very little or zero previous drawing experience. Some basic drawing skills would be useful, but not mandatory for this course.
What previous drawing experience do you need? We will go from simple to more complex forms step by step. In this course I'll show you the basics, as well as some of the advanced techniques of shading which you can use to create both simplistic and realistic drawings.
